I only get to hang out with friends once a week if I'm lucky and it is usually a 30 min lunch break. I can go a full day without seeing a friend, since I don't always have classes with them. We have no money for seeing more than 1 movie, lunch or dinner maybe every other or every 3rd week, no shopping trips - unless we beg our parents for funds. After that there is nothing else to do in town except for DSU events which I luckily get into free since I'm on the board. I go to class 4 to 6 hours a day, come home do 3 to 5 hours of home work, have a part time job and have positions on 3 campus organizations - for experience and resume. My schedule isn't the same any day during a school year, which makes it impossible to plan anything fun. I just want a schedule - not a family, a realtionship, or an adult life - just to be 21. Work from a certain, established time, an income, and the ability to plan time to hang out and have fun.

Off to change for my interview
seriously the lack of fundage doesn't really get any better once you've graduated  you have more to pay out for, well unless you just walk straight into the job that you wanted all along, i'm 4 years on still paying off student loan and trying to get the exact job i want, plus the working from and til a set time thing hardly ever works out either, work essentially gets in the way of fun
i guess what i miss most about being a student is that i had more time to go out and i miss going to class and learning new things, as for the whole hanging out with friends thing i guess i had a slightly different experience to you as i did music soo everything we did was in groups and with friends so i got to hang out every day. i don't know i mean everyone has different experiences but i LOVED my student life

good luck with your interview though :D

HAPPY FRIDAY GIRLS...and guys lol

First, I have to agree with Ally. I don't think I will miss my college experience at all lol. I will admit that the best year of college was my Freshman year. I lived on campus in a dorm and it was a blast. But alas, I didn't get much studying done and my grades definitely reflected that. So, I moved back home and mommy and daddy paid for everything so, first semester of sophmore year wasn't that bad. Then I moved out and starting living with my then boyfriend (now hubby) and made an agreemen with my parents (they didn't want me to move out) that they would only pay for school stuff. So, I had to start working and college got a lot less fun. Now I'm married and paying for everything, plus working 40 hours, and it's no fun at all. My hubby works six days a week, so when he's off he just wants to sit around and do nothing (which really means play PS3 for hours on end). Add that to the fact that we have an outrageous monthly payment on our suburban so we could pay it off in half the time, and bills, and we pretty much don't have a social life. I feel like a old couple lol.

But anyways, I am finally getting rid of my little S10 pickup. I've had it for awhile and I HATE it. I'm getting a Honda Civic, two-door, standard...and i can't WAIT to drive a stick again. I love having a standard car. And I'll be glad to be back in something smaller.

My brother has his soccer division games on the coast this weekend, so I'll be sitting in the sun watching those and then hopefully going to the beach and maybe the casino. It'll be our first weekend away since our honeymoon so hopefully we'll have fun. I'll just be glad to get away from my small little hick town for a few days lol.

Well, it's not quite the weekend yet, so I better go do some work. Later peeps

Megs, Ally & Emily – I guess we are all Twilighted… I blame the movies. I can’t stand the look of Edward and Bella, and I love them. I want my Twilight back! I’m about to read New Moon again and maybe re-visit the place that exists in my mind where Edward, Jake and Bella first appeared.

As sent to Becs:

Do you like me or no? I always checked "NO". Keeps it spicy.

Screen Name: Obieewok
Name/nicknames: Obs, Ruinerofmen, Hubba Chubba
Country: (or part of country if you want if you're from somewhere large like the USA) Dallas, Texas (insert barfing sound here)
Nationality(or ties): Who's getting tied to the what now? Half Pakistani/Half Whitebread mutt. I actually put this on college applications and applications for credit.
Primary Language: (yes we all type in English, but it isn't everyone's native tongue) My native tongue is always stuck down your boyfriend's throat. And before I do that, I speak ENGLISH to him. And not that weird "the Queen's English" either. Hardcore gangsta English.
Year of Birth: "And in 1980 God created Obs, and he looked upon her, gave her more boobs, and it was good."

I've got one action figure addicted nerdy husband of almost five years, two devil offspring that make chicks' tubes tie up just with a glance, three car garage, four bills that came in that pink paper that tells you that they aren't messing around, five dollars in my wallet, six different types of cheese in my fridge, because Im a cheezeho, seven bills that came in that red envelope that tell you that they REALLY aren't messing around, eight twilight and True Blood (eric = yes please) posters on my wall, nine cheese balls in front of me and ten reasons why I should quit this job right now.

And that five dollars just went for more cheeseballs.

I spent one hour getting ready this morning, putting on my new distressed jeans that I've been talking up to everyone all week. Got out of my car, went around a corner and a jerk on a cell phone going sixty almost hit me. I jumped out of the way, dropped my plastic bag carrying my lunch and the louisiana hot sauce glass bottle inside (I use this crap on EVERYTHING) busted ALL OVER ME AND MY PANTS. I yelled some words that I'm pretty sure sailors haven't heard. Came up on the elevator and now everyone thinks my jeans are really "distressed", because it looks like I'm bleeding profusely all down my right leg.

This was all before eight am. So don't even begin on how crappy a day you've had it.

Happy Friday babies. Let's hope you are all reading this with a sympathetic smile and are thinking of ways to make me happy. Hint --- nakedness.

I'm making out with your brother RIGHT NOW.

Keyer of Cars
Owner of Bloodied Hot Sauced Jeans

ps----For ladies who like romance novels (because I know some don't) and are turned on by big alpha males that are Scottish---I know, I know. Romance novel? Phhfff. Turn your nose up all you want, but I'm telling you----those Maccarrick brother novels (there are only three, and no more after that) are GOOD. So do yourself a favor and buy these books by Kresley Cole at a Barnes and Noble, Booksamillion, Borders, cousin Greta's garage sale, etc; get some candles, some ribs (because I get hungry when I'm hot and bothered. What? You don't? Weird.) and lock the hubs and kids out of the house and fall in lust with these big bossy highlanders, who like to be all "mine" and boss the chicks around, but get their egos handed right on back to them by some sassy Obs-style biznatches.

And this concludes your smut recommendation for the week.

An email just received from the man I create children with:

I met a lovely princess that smiled sunshine into my life but like the sun, she vanished each day only to return when the night was darkest.

Then one day she did not return and I was cast into the pitch where I stumbled, lost and empty.

After much time wandering, I stepped into a patch of warmth and chased it along until I was led back to the princess. I was bathed once again in her golden light and I vowed that I would never wander away from or be lost from that light again.

YOU are my light.

Babe-----have you seen my lucky underwear? I can't find them. The ones with the hole---but not the blue ones, the black ones with the hole. And the milk tasted funky this morning, so can you check that out?

I think I ran over one of the neighbors' cats, but it wasn't the nice one---it was the mean one that looks like Elvis a little in the face. I don't think it's dead tho, but you might want to check the driveway when you pull in. And do we have to have green beans tonight? I'd rather have onion rings. I just told Lulu we were having onion rings, and she's excited about it, and you don't want to let her down, do you? What kind of mother would you be?

I ate the last of the bread, but I left you the heel part for your lunch tomorrow, if that makes any difference.

Love,
Me

ps...It might have been the nice one.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why Obs reads smutty romance novels and pops Advil like candy. Because if it weren't for Twilight smut, foreign food and really good meds I might actually strip naked and run through the streets screaming. Again.

Now, if you excuse me, I have to go see a man about a zombie cat. Have a great weekend lex babies:)
