Hi everyone,

I am trying to get better on coming here but rl is taking over and I am trying to juggle it all. I think we can all agree on that.

Susie~ I don't think this place is deteriorating it sounds like the school is back in session for all of us on here in some way.

Tracy~ Yes I did have a fabulous time with the girls. It was much needed. Hubs works evenings and with no family around it is hard to go to events together so every few months on important ones that we can't miss we go. Just the other day I saw a dead spider in our bed it was small but still. Yes it freaked me out to when I saw it crawling up my shirt but I got quick vampire reflexes with the flick of my finger.

Marielle~ No need to burn the shorts or shirt BB read about my mad vampire skills above  You and I both will be M.I.A soon on our trips!

Brienna~ Gosh I wish I could give you advice both my pregnancies were easy. Actually I shouldn't say easy since I had difficult problems on both pregnancy that had to be monitored. What I meant is I really didn't have pregnancy symptoms.I only got a little sick on the second one. I was anemic on both so I would almost fall asleep anywhere, imagine that with a 1 year old. :) I do hope you start to feel better soon.

Fi~GB sounds perfect. That was sweet of him to bake you a cake. Happy Birthday girl.

Raine~ So far I am a hundred pages in. I do like it better than VD, Secret Circle and the other one she wrote. Kinda reminds me of a B& E relationship however she doesn't deliver the deep passion like SM does.

Vicki~ Miss you girl. Glad you stopped by.

Caryn~Are you doing a fundrasier for Domestic Violence awareness?

I am outta here got to pick up LIttle man from preschool.

Hello Ladies~

So after several days of errands, and last minute cleaning, and loads and loads of laundry, I picked Hubby up from the airport last night! AND... let me just start by saying that I had a fan girl moment in the middle of the airport b/c of my own husband!! WOW...

Apparently my hubs decided to assuage his boredom and loneliness by developing a close personal relationship with the fitness room at the hotel he was staying in. I would have thought with all the credit card charges for bars and restaurants around NOLA while he was gone, that the opposite would be true- but Holy Six Packs, ladies!!! Now, I just feel really, really guilty for the Haagan Dazs coffee ice cream that kept me company in his absence!

So if I'm not around so much in the next few weeks... well, it may have something to do with my sudden desire to start running again daily. Thank goodness I have hubby home to watch the kids at least... You know? So that I actually CAN go running again. ;) Wish me luck with that! LOL!

Anyway, I have about 8 pages to get caught up with from over the weekend, so give me some time to read and absorb. I hope you all are having lovely weeks! :-) Ginnie

EDIT:

Tracy~ Thank you so much for the "in-thread review" of What Drives Her!! I'm thrilled and so glad that you enjoyed it. I'm taking a bit of a break this week for obvious reasons... but I have the next two chapters done, so updates should continue uninterrupted. You're so sweet.

Tammy, Caryn and whoever else checked out my fanfic profile, thanks so much to you too. Big Hugs for giving me a chance!

Susie & Sandy ~ I adore that you girls made time to meet each other and share something so fun. Honestly, I'm a little envious too... how fun it would be to meet a Lex friend someday.

MIssP~ Keep us updated!

Brienna~ Congratulations! Hope you're feeling better soon. Hang in there!

Fi~ I'm so living vicariously through you. Hubs can't bake- at all! He tried once and I kept finding flour and sugar residue in the kitchen for months after. Te he he! Oh well, he has other... talents shall we say, so I really shouldn't complain!

Alright, that's all I can think of or remember to comment on. See you ladies around and have a lovely day/evening/morning, whatever the case may be!! Ginnie

I only can do a small post. I am exausted. Been running around crazy today. also spent the last 3 1/2 hours helping my nephew catch up on work he missed at school last week.

Virgina May, I am going to read your story as soon as I get my lastest chapter typed up and sent to Susie :D I am always looking for new stuff!

Susie, I am going to write some more tonight and within th next 2 days you should get it to you. I am litterally letting it all flow out so it might get a lot cut or cut in half.

Ladies, hope you all are okay! I will check back in a bit!

YES!!!! Things are hopping here again!!!

As JennJenn noticed – Summer is over. We’re back to the Halfway House again!

Do we need to re-decorate????

Day two of my class.
I've got some more students already, and more countries to add to the list: Vietnam and Tibet

Caryn – Yes, you had one busy weekend! Something about having two kids who are in sports and a job that has extracurricular activities in addition to an extended family that does stuff like get married and have babies. Thanks for ‘plainin’ the natural cycle of the Halfway House activity. They’ll be back. In fact, a lot of sisters came back today! It’s so funny you used the term “eclectic” to describe my class – that’s the nature of the business. I can’t imagine not having an eclectic group. Dang you Caryn! That Eclipse kiss gif is just too much for me!! I wonder how long Rob’s beard will be when he has to shave it all off for BD… You’re so sweet the way you are apologizing in advance for potential absences from the Halfway House!!! Awww! We actually do notice when you’re gone, so it’s good to know why so we don’t worry.

Bella – Yes. By now you’ve been told that actually we lust after your Edward maybe even more than we do Rob. Sorry about that. It’s just that he is so…..perfect. You are one lucky lady!!! (But you know that.) And he is one lucky man to have you too – don’t you forget it! Thanks for stopping by. You’re right – this is a special place. We really are friends.

Desiree – I’m sorry you’re stressed out and feel crabby. I was that way before my class started and I was snapping at my son!! It’s been so fun to see my students from last year: a woman from Somalia who has quite the wardrobe with brightly colored, matching hijabs and jewelry, a man from Jamaica who got his GED in June, but is brushing up on Math before he starts college, fun-loving woman from Liberia, and a man from Mexico who works training horses. (There are a few more.) You’re right – the Halfway House isn’t deteriorating – we just go through quiet times and then people come back all refreshed.

MissP
- I just can’t wait to hear about your date!!! Vicarous living! He must be really interested in you if he talked to you until 2:30 in the morning! Are you going to be MIA because of him????

Tracy
– That Twilight first kiss gif was almost too much for me!!! Chattanooga Circus show – it’s part of “Riverwalk”. Have you heard of it? The show isn’t until 7:30, so maybe you still could make it??? My knee after Karaoke – well, I was OK during my song, but when I was “dancing” a little when others were singing it was definitely something I shouldn’t have done. Things feel a little out of alignment now. You think I should take a break from my traveling now? That’s what my hubs says too. Wow – I think we think alike – I’m having trouble with the “pray” part of the book too. It just makes me have to think too hard!! I probably wouldn’t get into all of that meditation and yoga stuff because my blood pressure is already too low. I need things to rev me up, not calm me down!!

Marielle – Yep. Rob and Kris are rehearsing Isle Esme already. Good luck with your Rome preparatory diet.

Brienna – I’m so sorry you feel so sick. I can understand why you are worried. Let us know what the midwife says. My knee is sort of a chronic problem at this point, unfortunately.

Fi – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! When was it? Sorry I missed it. Coconut Lemon Cake?? Is he for real????

Raine – Lexing on company time? Lucky for us! Eat Pray Love is a bestselling memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert which has been made into a movie staring Julia Roberts. I wanted to make sure I read it before seeing the movie.

Vicky – I think you are the first for pre-order your Eclipse DVD! Congrats! I hope you actually get it delivered on time. (or are you going to pick it up?) More guy advice – they tend to protect themselves from rejection and they also don’t think ahead too much, in my experience. It’s great that he is chatting on fb – he can ease into things that way, and then when you are actually making plans to get together he’ll text. Good Luck!!

Jaclyn – That is scary having the power go off – it gets so dark!! What did you do about it? I’ll bet that you now know exactly where your torch is!! Good thing your laptop was on battery. That Circus on Ice show sounds cool. Thanks for the link. I showed it to Sonny Boy and he was impressed. We’re trying to imagine how they do silks with ice skates on… You’ll have to tell me. You posted some pretty yummy pics!

Ginnie
– Wow – your hubs sounds…..well, let’s just say you’ll be having fun admiring those abs. I’m so glad you can get a break from your kids now to go running and maybe do some other things that you enjoy. Back to my traveling – I have a flight benefit because my husband used to work for Northwest Airlines as a Senior Software Developer and got laid off because of the merger and got a nice severance package – we have active employee status for flights through November and then we have retiree flight benefits. In a nutshell, if there is space on the flight, I can fly for free. It can be a fun little game until I get stranded somewhere!!

JennJenn
– It is great that you are helping your nephew with his homework again. (Practicing up for when you have to do it with your daughter!) Regarding your writing – please edit before sending to me. Only you know what you want and don’t want to include. Is your daughter totally well now? I hope so.

Angelvamp
– Thanks for the reminder. I’ve been over a couple of times. She definitely has one of the best pic collections!!!

I’ve got to get to bed now – Good Night!

Jaclyn~ Awww, thanks. I do my best. I actually love this time of year. It's just very busy for me. But, I love being a part of a profesional community that comes together the way that we do.

Desiree~ There are a lot of events around DV Awareness Month; fundraisers for our programs for sure, but also vigils, trainings and educational programs, conferences, walks and all sorts of other things going on. My agency is a statewide coordinating council, so we try to be involved and support as many of our programs' event as we can in addition to hosting our own.

Ginnie~ Oooh, nice! I have to admit though, I was sure that you were going to say your hubs ran into Rob in NOLA! You had me going for a minute. But, I guess in Rob's absence, a ripped hubs is a good second. Yoiu should totally take Susie up on the visit. She's a trip, so much fun.

JennJenn~ Good luck writing!

Susie~ While I'm not worried Rob will be ready to join ZZTop before he shaves, he's definitely rocking the GrizzlyRob look, that's for sure. I like the thought of your "eclectic" class. There's something magical about people coming together for any reason. I hope you enjoy SonnyBoy's trip. How cool that he gets to travel with his show.

Hmmm, redecorate for fall, huh?

Well, let's see...

This one makes me think of cuddling in front of a fire on a last gasp of summer weekend.

This one brings to mind snuggling to keep warm on a cool fall night.

And this one... well, this one just makes me want to pack up and head back to school somewhere.
