Re: Saddest movies.
I cry at a lot of movies that are done well because I connect myself to characters. The ones that make me cry every single time I watch them and I absolutely bawl are:
The Fountain - directed and written by Darren Aronofsky. It stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weiz. It is a thinker movie but it is insanely beautiful. If you like Aronofsky's other movies, ie Pi or Requiem, you should like this as well. Watch all of the extras too. So much thought and meaning is in that movie.
Finding Neverland
Atonement
Black Beauty
Big Fish
The Notebook
Varying parts of the LOTR trilogy
A Beautiful Mind
Brokeback Mountain
The Dark Knigh - I cry whenever Heath Ledger gives a particularly strong scene because all I see is how great he is and how he is gone now
Braveheart
Gladiator
Juno
I think that is enough for now. lol. If I think of anything else I will return.

Re: Saddest movies.
I just watched Rachel Getting Married. It was kind of bitter sweet but had several really heart wrenching moments. I never knew Anne Hathaway could act before this movie. She was really impressive.
You are in my blood like holy wine
and you taste so bitter but you taste so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you darling
And I would still be on my feet

Re: Saddest movies.
I find myself crying alot now a days at movies and for no particular reason. Sometimes, they remind me of a particular person, event or situation and I'm balling.
I posted the Champ earlier but I cried during Rent also, especially towards the end and the ending of LTOR - Return of the King. The tears were a flowin.

I JUST got done watching bridge to Terebithia and I've never cried that hard during a movie in my entire life. Fifteen minutes straight at the end I was flat-out sobbing. It was one of the best movies I've ever seen. <3 And the saddest...
